Andy DeMammos, this guys has created so many amazing pictures. This past weekend I had the opportunity to sit down with him and discuss his 50+ years of camera experience. Some of his prints look like they were taken with digital cameras today. He came from an Era where everything was manual focus and you couldn’t rely more on your camera than skill. His main message to me was teaching me how to compose. I struggle with using the rule of thirds and composing good looking backgrounds. However, he gave me some techniques that I could use. One of them is cutting 2 pieces of papers into L’s and using that to frame your picture, then asking yourself is that what your picture should look like as a final product. I would definitely recommend sitting down with any one who has experience and just picking their brain! It’s amazing what you will learn.
